Biography : Mrs. Mitchell

Hello, My name is Mrs. Mitchell.  I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana.  I went to the University of Southern Indiana to pursue my dream... TEACHING!  This will be my ninth year teaching and my fourth year at Sacred Heart School.  I am very excited about the many changes at Sacred Heart.  Our school has been remodeled and it looks beautiful.  I am especially proud of the ISTEP scores that reflect the amazing learning that is taking place in our classrooms.  I look forward to another successful year!   

 FYI:  Last year, Mrs. Smith and I began a Drama Club for our 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  We had many fantastic productions last year including our hour long spring play, "Murder at the Goon Show."  This club is fun, and it's amazing to watch the kids' progression in their acting and public speaking skills.   

 

Fun Facts:  I love spending time with my husband and two children.  We have two short-legged Jack Russel Dogs, Indy and Lily.  We also have a new cat named Iggy, thanks to Mrs. Smith!  I love to watch and play any sport.  I especially love Colts football and Reds baseball.  I also enjoy cooking and sharing my creations with good company.
